Kia Forte EX Sedan

Kia recently launched the new redesigned second generation Forte. This time around Kia added a 2 door model dubbed the Koup but the car featured in this test drive video review is the 4-door model. The 2014 Kia Forte comes in 2 different trims (LX and EX) and ranges in price from $15,900 – $19,400. According to the EPA the Kia Forte is technically a mid-sized car but it does compete in the compact car class against cars like the Ford Focus, Honda Civic, and the Toyota Corolla.

The redesigned 2014 Kia Forte is one of the best looking cars in its class; in fact Kia vehicles in general look a lot better than they ever have. Under the hood there are 2 engine options: a 1.8 liter and a 2.0 liter that is only offered on the EX model. The 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine makes 173 horsepower and 154 lb-ft of torque and the engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy ratings are 24 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway.
